Joe tenses up when Nicky steps forward and Quynh points her gun at him, though he doesn't move to stand between them. Then Quynh is lowering her weapon and Joe takes that as permission to come closer too, coming to stand shoulder to shoulder with Nicky, his face upturned towards her.

There is only one answer to Quynh's question, only one thing Joe wants from her, even after all this time.

"Come with us," Joe says, softly. "It'll be Nicky, you, Andy and I. Like the old days." His eyes are beseeching, full of emotion. "You can meet the new ones, too. You'll like them. We'll settle down somewhere, learn to know each other again."
