Joe stays very still as Quynh makes her approach, his gun still at his side though he has no intention of lifting again unless he absolutely has to. He watches as she comes forward, closer and closer, his eyes dark and hopeful. Quynh's touch on Nicolo's face is so soft it makes Joe ache to reach back. He doesn't dare.

"Please come with us," he whispers when she glances over to him, echoing Nicolo's earlier plea. "You don't have to do this alone. We can do it together."
